Simply put, a circular economy mattress is a mattress that never ends up as waste. At MATR, our mattresses are made from fully recyclable materials which means that they can be easily reused, refurbished or recycled at the end of their life. Thanks to our innovative design our mattress components can be effortlessly taken apart and re-entered into the material loop. Our next goal is to produce new MATR-mattresses from the recycled materials but for now, we are already proud that our materials are re-entered back into industry for recycling.

Absolutely! We even like to argue our mattress is comfier than ordinary mattresses. It is made from high quality, sustainable materials and designed with ultimate body support and comfort in mind. Therefore, we take pride in the luxurious sleep experience that the MATR mattress offers you.

The MATR mattress is made from just 2 high-quality materials: Polyester and steel (spring core). This allows the MATR-mattress to be recycled at the end of its life.

Our main goal is to provide a premium sleeping experience, and a mattress that can be completely recycled. Since natural materials such as latex, foam, or cotton can not be recycled, or are only partly recycled, we decided to use polyester. This material can re-enter into the material loop to be fully recycled, and is one of the most recyclable materials on the market. In addition, it enables ultimate breathability and comfort for our mattresses which means you can get the good night of rest you deserve.

Our mattresses are proudly made in the European Union by our sustainable producer with over 100 years of experience in the mattress industry. We only use high quality materials for our circular MATR-mattress.

No, our mattress has no specific smell and you don’t have to leave the mattress to settle for any time, you can use it directly.

We offer a middle firmness level. This is the most suited firmness for use in the hotel sector since it meets the vast majority of guests needs. 

Yes. The MATR mattress is vegan, and we use no latex or cotton which are common allergy triggers. Therefore we meet the majority of allergy friendly needs. 

Yes, you can use your own bed base.

2. After MATR receives your online form, we will contact you (via email) within 2 days with a tailored pricing proposal.
3. Upon receipt of the offer, you have 1 week to decide whether you want to accept it or not.
4. After accepting the offer we can schedule time for delivery.

Mattress monitoring enables you to receive additional information about your MATR mattresses. For example, your mattress inventory, mattress cleaning history and cleaning reminders for housekeeping. That way, your mattresses are always kept in the best condition for your guests and we help to extend their life cycle.

Guest marketing is centred around bringing the story of your MATR mattresses to life for your guests. That way, you can show them what is so special about their zero waste mattress sleep experience. For this, we offer various options which can be tailored to your needs, upon discussion.

Our product passport shows the materials in our mattress and where they come from. In this way we can ensure full traceability and transparency of our materials. Now, that’s circular.

You can find the product passport attached to your MATR mattresses via a tag with a QR code.

For as long as you have it in your possession. After your mattress is returned to us, the mattress passport is then updated to show where the materials are recycled and how they are then reused.

We kindly ask you to return your MATR mattresses at the end of their life so we can fully recycle it and bring the materials back into the loop. As a result, you join us on our mission of putting mattress waste to bed.

We kindly ask you to return your MATR mattresses to us at the end of their life, so we can recycle them responsibly and bring the materials back into the loop. By request, we can take your old mattresses after we deliver the new ones. 

Yes, when you buy your MATR mattress, it comes with a cover. However, if needed, you can also buy a new/spare cover. Please let us know the sizing and quantity required and we can provide you with a quote for this. For information, new covers are also included in our premium package as standard.

Yes, all MATR mattresses are delivered with mattress covers. However, we recommend you also place a mattress protector sheet on top of the mattress cover to ensure ultimate protection and hygiene.

We recommend annual cleaning by simply placing the cover in the washing machine at 60 degrees celsius maximum.

For our mattress covers we use polyester. For the zipper we use steel for the zipper. This means our cover is fully recyclable at the end of its life. How cool is that?

Delivery can take between 4 – 16 weeks upon a signed order confirmation. We always aim to deliver as sustainably as possible. Therefore, we appreciate your understanding with our estimated delivery times and the need for us to bulk orders to minimise our CO2 footprint.

If you are a private customer ordering for delivery in Austria, shipping costs will be added to your order. The amount depends on your location. If you are a private customer outside of Austria, delivery times and shipping costs will be confirmed directly with you upon ordering.

Yes, we will provide you with regular updates on your order status via bi-weekly emails. You can also contact our team at any time for an update on your order.

Yes, we kindly ask you to be available in order to fulfil delivery according to your expectations. We also ask for main contact information, including an email and phone number, should we need to contact you to organise delivery details.

Yes. This add-on option is handled by the MATR-team for an additional cost of 60 EUR per mattress. Simply let us know when you order if you would like this service provided.
