MATR at Interzum 2025 | Circular mattresses for hotels
Share
We are delighted to present MATR at the Trend Forum at Interzum 2025 – the world's leading trade fair for furniture production and interior design. In partnership with TripleR and the Austrian Mattress Alliance (ÖMA), we will demonstrate how circular design and traceability are revolutionizing the bedding industry.
At the heart of the solution is the Digital Product Passport (DPP) – an innovative solution that allows every MATR mattress to be tracked from raw materials to recycling. Developed specifically for hotels, but also suitable for retail, the product passport offers maximum transparency for both hotel operators and guests.
Why is this important?
Every year, millions of mattresses end up in landfills, over 30 million in Europe alone. We believe there's a better way. By using recyclable materials and tracking their lifecycle, MATR enables hotels to achieve their sustainability goals while providing first-class guest comfort.
Our participation in the Austrian Mattress Alliance (ÖMA) represents a larger mission: the implementation of a nationwide Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system. This initiative will make mattress take-back, reuse, and recycling the norm, not the exception.
